Stan NochasakStan Nochasak (1974-) is originally from Nain, NL, Nunatsiavut. Nochasak is a traditional Inuit drum dancer, story-teller, and visual artist specializing in drawing and abstract painting. He is also a poet, writer, and actor with an keen interest in photography, fashion design and interior decorating. An Inuk from Labrador, Nochasak cherishes his Inuit cultural heritage and remembered past. He takes pride in a history of Inuit resilience that demonstrates the survival of traditional Inuit cultural values; honouring Elders and ancestors, nurturing family unity, protecting land and animals, and upholding social equality. One of nine children, and a proud uncle to nineteen nieces and nephews, Nochasak treasures family life and working with children. Nochasak personally values and honours Inuit spiritual beliefs that lie at the core of his identity as First Peoples. NAKUMMEK ("thank you" in Inuktitut).
