This live performance brings together six professional Inuit throat singers from across the Canadian Arctic to St. John’s, Newfoundland to present an original, experimental musical performance. These artists, who normally perform in pairs, will collaborate and exchange together in the week leading up to iNuit blanche to create a new and innovative multi-vocal performance. In this event The Sila Singers (Jenna Broomfield from and Malaya Bishop) join with Jennie Williams, Tama Ball, Kathleen Ivaluarjuk Merritt and Pauyungie Nutaraaluk. This exciting, dynamic performance is not to be missed.
This project is funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.
